A report conducted in Los Angeles by the WSJ showed that studios have resumed the release of big-budget films and their target audience is young men.
The top 2022 releases include "The Batman," "Uncharted," and Spider-Man: No Way Home," all of which saw an audience that was 2/3rds male and most of those under the age of 30.
This trend doesn't tell us anything new about the male audience in America, but that's precisely the point.
As it turns out, young men still like action, adventure, and the idea of true heroism. But not just any heroism, distinctly male heroism--an idea that has almost been entirely diluted and confused by the progressive left.
Young men need to be called to something greater. As a society, we have far more 30-year-olds sitting in their parent's basements and playing video games than we do strong leaders with adventurous spirits and a willingness to fight for what they hold dear.
Traditional fantasies that paint the hero in a strong, positive, and inspiring light are certainly not all that America's youth need to succeed, but it could be a good start.
