Breaking News-Billionaire, businessman Elon Musk recently signaled that his $44 billion dollar bid to buy out Twitter is "on hold." The news comes after Reuters reported on a recent Twitter filing that showed just under 5% of Twitter users are actually fake or spam accounts.
Elon Musk Tweeted out Friday: "Twitter deal temporarily on hold pending details supporting calculation that spam/fake accounts do indeed represent less than 5% of users."
Twitter shares dropped double digits after the Tesla and SpaceX CEO's somewhat confusing and alarming Tweet. And users are frantic to figure out if indeed Elon Musk will still complete his purchase of Twitter.
However, in a possible effort to calm Twitter user's and investors' nerves, Mr. Musk quickly followed the disturbing Tweet with the following:
