Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-MS), chair of the January 6 Committee, said Monday evening there would be no criminal referrals of former President Donald Trump or anyone else to the Department of Justice (DOJ), according to Breitbart.
Ironically, "Republican" Rep. Liz Cheney Publically disagreed.
Cheney, one of the only two "Republicans" serving on the committee, showed her enmity towards Trump and his base when she Tweeted, "The January 6th Select Committee has not issued a conclusion regarding potential criminal referrals. We will announce a decision on that at an appropriate time."
Rep. Liz Cheney was hand-picked by Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), and has expressed clear left-leaning bias in the past.
Though the committee has not referred the then-president Donald Trump for criminal charges, they will refer a number of Trump aides, who may have misled him on or on dates surrounding January 6th.
