Biden Uses Memorial Day to Push For More Gun Control: "You couldn't buy a cannon..."

Updated: Jun 1, 2022

President Joe Biden used memorial day to push for more gun control, even though it was a national patriotic holiday dedicated to commemorating the lives lost defending America and her constitutional system, according to a Breitbart report.

“The Constitution, the Second Amendment was never absolute,” Biden said to reporters. The president reportedly spoke to reporters about gun control as he returned to Washington from Delaware.

The president falsely claimed, again, that one couldn't purchase a cannon at the time when the Second Amendment was passed, despite the claim being repeatedly fact-checked as false by even the Washington Post and Politifact, according to a Breitbart analysis of the situation.

“You couldn’t buy a cannon when the Second Amendment was passed and you couldn’t go out and purchase a lot of weapons,” he said.
